More fun on the CA trip!

I have been driving a 15 passenger van around for over 10 years. It's been a huge blessing and truly a necessary piece of my life, However, in the last few years, with boys out on missions and away at college and having a few other extra drivers around, I was regularly driving only 2 or 3 kids around at a time. I had been starting to think about getting a new car in a few years...in fact, I jokingly told Bill and the kids that I had started divorce papers with my van.., Well, dad got word of this desire, and started looking for a car for me. I  had a few criteria (had to be a bit taller than a sedan, fit a cello and 3 kids) and a few quiet hopes (white and a Honda) and I could NOT believe what he found for me!!! Everything I wanted and more!! We drove it home after our week in California.

On the TRAM bound for Disneyland.

In our first line at Disneyland wit Paul and Gus!

Waiting at Pirates!

Oh Yeah....Paul was chosen to go up on stage! Chicken man...

Her father's daughter!

Yep, we went on this!!! Crazy crazy crazy!

Paul and I .... Such a great friend my whole life!

At Grandma Pam's Tap Chick's rehearsal...funny trivia, see the Asian man second from the left? He's a famous Architect...he designed and built a mansion for Leonardo DiCaprio...quite a career change huh?

Grandma Pam and Bekah teaching the dogs how to swim to the edge so they could learn to get out!

Another homeschool day on our vacation.... The Dead Sea Scroll Exhibit and the Endeavor Exhibit downtown LA.
We couldn't take pictures of the Dead Sea Scrolls, but there was a really cool feeling in the crowded room with writings of the Bible. Here was a tangible witness of the importance of God's word to other people in another time.

I was unexpectedly "Awed" standing in the room with a man made vehicle that had been in space over 20 times. Truly incredible!

The Los Angeles Temple

Birds of Paradise Flowers were some of my grandma Iris's favorite flowers...a gift of her service as a missionary in Hawaii.

This was the coolest tree on the Temple property.

Deciding to fly

Bekah got to free fall fly and loved it... if I can find a video, I'll post it someday!

Thanks Grandpa!

WE'VE had such a MARVELOUS TIME!

Bekah and Grandma Pam... Bekah LOVED getting to know a fellow horse lover and she is just so awesomely kind and thoughtful.... love her!

Quick stop at Heather's on our way home from California...

Bekah and Mom go on a Trip!

In August, Bekah and I flew on this super cheap airline to Sunny California and I'll tell you what--This trip did NOT disappoint! We had an absolute blast together!! First Momma-Daughter Trip in 12 years! (We decided we needed to do it more often!)
We had to pack really tight because the airline had tight requirements---it was crazy! We got picked up by dad and Pam and went right over to the beach to let Bekah touch the ocean! This trip was full of firsts!! We also built her first sand castle. IT was a perfect time of day... just cooling off with a breeze and a beautiful sunset before Dinner on the Marina.
ON THE PLANE!!

Touching the Sand....Meeting Grandma Pam!

Love you dad!

In the Water!

Yeah, that tiny person out there is Bekah.....First time in the California Pacific Ocean!

Hail the Beach Conqueror's !
Dinner together at the Cheesecake Factory... so incredibly beautiful. Dad loves to spoil  us and it was so much fun!

I love this picture, In dad's face there is a quality that reminds me of Grandma Adams and all of my Aunts and Uncle's on that side of the family...
