Today is piano and guitar lessons day. Mate LOVES to help Jake learn the finer arts. --And he is a willing student. I love that the kids play and that they enjoy it. Today is also laundry day. Laundry day at our house is every day (almost). So the advantage is that we can all count on it, it's not like it shows up unexpectedly. It just lasts for a really long time. I've figured it out though--right out of the dryer, it goes onto the kitchen table--it's true. Then we can eat when it's folded and put away. The older 5 do their own laundry, so it's not as bad as it was a few years ago with a baby and all of it for the other 9 of us. The sock party at the end is pretty good though. Just imagine 7 boys playing basketball (really--it's a rousing game of PELT-EACH-OTHER until mom notices) and a cheerleader around the kitchen table. (Which by the way is an 4x8 piece of wood, with the edges cut off, on top of another table.)
Tonight, Will and Mate and Bill are at the Temple doing baptisms and so to keep the numbers up, we had Melissa, Whitney, and Tasha over for dinner.
I love listening to Harry Connick Jr. while making dinner, it's sooo happy!
Jake is so adorable in this pic!
